MeiGah Apartment is the result of my senior interior design research project at SCAD. Driven by a deep frustration of the lack of housing and inhumane living considitions of cage homes and sub-divided flats - created by scarce land supply and high housing prices; MeiGah aims to provide a solution to said problem.

Rather than maximising available footprint, the design instead extends upwards, creating taller ceiling heights which results in increased storage space, drastically improved airflow and daylighting. Prioritising resident’s wellbeing through a collection of amenities, this project aims to provide a much needed escape from the hectic city life, to those who need it most.
